MEET-UP Talk on Corpus New Trends 

Dr. Tehseen Zahra, an associate professor from Bahria University, Islamabad, visited the Corpus Research Center (CRC-MUL). Dr. Zahra, who has expertise in pragmatics, discourse studies, and corpus linguistics, shared her insights with PhD students and faculty from the English department at MUL. Her talk emphasized the importance of collaboration in corpus research and highlighted her roles as managing editor of Corprum: Corpus Linguistics—Pakistan's first corpus-based publication—and Co-PI for the PakGenText research project funded by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan. Dr. Zahra has also contributed to numerous book chapters and research papers. The visit, organized by Ms. Ammara Maqsood and Ms. Fatima Tuz Zahra, included a discussion led by CRC Director Dr. Zafar Iqbal Bhatti, focusing on the development of corpus tools and the importance of workshops for capacity building.
